Head Girl Welcome
My name is Jasmine Abubakar and I am Head Girl at The Palmer Catholic Academy. Being a student of the academy for siyears, I’ve had the privilege of watching our academy progress to what it is today.
Like everybody else, starting Year 7 was quite daunting and full of ‘what ifs’, but in no time I was able to find my place within the academy. Surrounded by lots of friends and teachers, there is never an opportunity to dwell on obstacles but the academy becomes a place where there is so much to experience. I have been able to achieve goals, which I never thought possible, such as being appointed Head Girl!
Doing my GCSEs was really challenging; so many subjects, lots of revision, but with the support provided by the teachers at the academy I achieved excellent results. Now in the Sixth Form having done AS level exams, GCSEs were a breeze.
Now sadly in my final year at the academy, the reality of leaving school is daunting. The academy has been like a second home, it has provided me with skills, knowledge and an excellent platform. The anticipation of moving on to the next stage of my educations is extremely exciting.
