Mrs N Marshall
Our aim is to encourage, engage and motivate students in an alternative challenge based curriculum; with a variety of courses that are relevant and transferable whilst increasing their self-esteem and capabilities to be independent and prepare for life after school.
Every student gets rewarded with certificates for their achievements at regular intervals throughout the programmes.
No exam is necessary, this is 100% portfolio of evidence/coursework based which is internally and externally moderated for final certification.
Award scheme development and accreditation network programmes
Offer flexible curriculum programmes, qualifications and ways of accrediting skills. These are skills for learning, employment and life. Using an activity base ASDAN develops, assesses and accredits personal, employability and social skills for all ages and abilities, which are as important as academic ability in aiding a student's future.
ASDAN is linked to nationally recognised qualifications approved by all awarding bodies in the UK and by UCAS.
ASDAN offers a range of nationally approved qualifications based around the development of personal, social and employability skills:
· Entry 1, 2 and 3 (Access) qualifications meet the needs of learners working below GCSE (Intermediate) level (see ASDAN's SEND provision information booklet)
· Levels 1 and 2 (Intermediate) qualifications are comparable to GCSEs
· Level 3 (Higher) qualifications are A/AS-level comparable
· Level 4 accreditation represents a Certificate of Higher Education
